Sydney 12 x 12 Travel Layout - Wendy Meffan

The March Fox Box is perfect for any travel themed layout. I used the stencil #92 and also the paper Snips #053 which make the Fox Box Plus Combination for March. As all the products are so versatile I managed to use the Advent Box film strip acetate, as well as bits from the Right Now Collection and also I used the Circular Viewfinder Die. I used other embellishments from 49 and Market Spectrum Sherbet and Colour Swatch Ocean Collections.

I actually created my own background paper using the Stencil #92 with distress oxides and then stamping over the top with travel stamps. I was very pleased with the result! It gave a lovely travel effect for my Sydney photos to be placed on.

I had too many photos I wanted to use so settled on four, and then made two slightly smaller so they didn't over take the page! I created two clusters and did move them around the page a lot but finally settled with the larger photos at the bottom. I matted one photo and used a frame around the other and positioned them to the right of the layout allowing me to add the Days Like These Perspextive to the left. I used the circular Viewmaster die and placed it behind the Perspextive and then added a frame around it. Then I created a small tag and added a word phrase and tab from the Paper Snips #053. I added a heart button and tied some twine through it.

Under the photos I added laser cut embellishments from 49 and Market, also an arrow Perspextive and Paper Snips Tab. I tucked the film strip acetate (from the Advent Box) under the photo and added a Bramble Fox epoxy flair. The Treasured Memories Perspextive from the Right Now collection sat perfectly over the photo. I had a small Opera House charm which I tied to a Sydney stamp and attached them the film strip.

I managed to add another of the pieces from the Viewmaster die in between the photos for added embellishment.

Moving towards the top of the I added the two photos to a torn piece of backing paper, then I placed a frame over the top of one of them for extra dimension. Under the photos I added a film strip acetate and a tab. To the left I tucked in a few postage stamps and a ticket as embellishments, I then added another frame with an Epoxy flair and also a stamped postmark. I then concentrated to the right of the photos to balance things out and used the smaller Viewmaster die and added Paper Snips from #53 over the top. I used the duck egg blue tab (again from the Paper Snips) and the Noted Perspextive from the Right Now collection. The arrow Perspextives were also a great add on!

Finally I used some Alphabet Stamps on blue paper from the collection to make the Sydney Opera House Title which I positioned above and between the pictures. White gesso splatters to finish it completely were a must!

I hope you will be inspired to get out your stamps and stencils and get playing with them!

Till next time ... Happy Scrapping!
