Winter Warming - Wendy Meffan

Hi Everyone! I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and have lots of photos to scrap. I'm sharing my third layout for December using the gorgeous January Fox Box perspextives. I have combined the Winter and Warming perspextives for my layout along with the cute little mug and tree perspextives, I have also used the stencil from the Fox Box Plus #53 and Paper Snips #017. The papers are from an older Hip Kit .

I loved the beautiful leaf effect stencil #53 so decided to make it the background for the layout, I stencilled diagonally across the white card stock using distress oxides. I am using November 2022 Hip Kit paper collection as the colours of the papers were great for coordinating with colours in the photo. Initially I matted the photo on some of the mustard card stock (to bring out the coat colour!) and distressed the edges. I placed the Winter and Warming perspextives on the layout where I wanted them in relation to the the photo and started building up the layout around them.

I used a (soon to be revealed) border template and cut four different rows of scallops and then sewed them under where the photo was going. I fussy cut a floral cluster and tucked it in the side of the photo and added the perfect coloured Warming perspextive over the top. (It was just the right colour for the mulled wine we were drinking!)

I fussy cut the Good Times tab from the Paper Snips #017 and tucked it in under the right side of the photo. To the top left of the photo I added another floral cluster I'd fussy cut and added the gorgeous dark grey Winter perspextive forming the title of the layout.

I loved the cute mugs and decided they had to go on the layout somewhere so created a small cluster at the top right of the layout to balance it. I made more scallops which again I sewed onto the page. Along with another floral cluster I adhered the two mug perspextives. i also used a word phrase from the Paper Snips #017.

I then added some embellishment stickers around the layout and the string of lights across the top. To finish off I and give a bit of sparkle I added some Pinkfresh Studio iridescent clear drops.
