There’s something magical about putting together a holiday layout, and this project might be one of my favourites of the season! Some projects start with a photo… but this one started with a Perspextive. The “This Makes Me Happy” title practically leaped off my desk and set the whole mood for this playful, joy-filled layout. With its cheerful script and gorgeous color, it became the heartbeat of the page—inviting layers of stenciling, Rosie's Studio pretties, and all the little details that make creating so much fun.

Using stripes in my background is a go to technique for me, it adds impact without being complicated. For this layout I used strips of patterned paper cut to 1.5 inch thick & placed them at a 45 degree angle. If you choose to do the same you will find that some of the strips will not be long enough to cover the page, fear not, just cut them in half & hide the gap behind your photo, no one will ever know.
