Scrapbook layout for A Girls Trip with friends

1. Girls, Flowers & Plenty of Fun

Some of the best memories are made when you simply spend time with your best friend, and this scrapbook layout captures one of those lovely days perfectly. The page documents a fun girls’ trip to the RHS Badminton Flower Show, filled with beautiful flowers, plenty of laughter, retail therapy and lots of time to catch up.

I wanted the layout to feel as colourful and cheerful as the day itself, with the photographs telling the story of two friends enjoying a special day together. 2. Colour Me Happy

For this layout, I used the gorgeous Colour Me Happy collection from Simple Stories, which was perfect for a colourful flower show page.

The palette is full of pretty pinks, aqua, turquoise, coral, orange, lime green and fresh white, creating a bright and happy feel. I particularly love how the colourful patterned papers contrast with the black-and-white photographs, allowing the photos to remain the focal point while making the colours really pop.

The soft white background provides plenty of breathing space around the busy patterned papers and embellishments, while the pops of stencilling using Bramble Fox #15 stencil https://www.bramblefox.co.uk/product-page/copy-of-fox-cut-15 tie everything together beautifully.

3. Layering, Pattern & Dimension

This layout is all about layers and texture. I created a large layered background using several different patterned papers from the Colour Me Happy collection, including grids, diagonal patterns and playful scalloped designs.

The photographs were mounted onto contrasting paper layers to help define each image. I also used a combination of straight edges and torn paper edges, adding a little extra texture and stopping the page from feeling too uniform.

The floral embellishments are heavily layered, with flowers, leaves and foliage arranged into clusters around the photographs. I love using floral pieces on a flower show layout because they reinforce the story while adding lots of colour and dimension.

I also added smaller embellishment details, including the camera, labels and tiny decorative pieces, which help fill the spaces without overwhelming the photographs.

4. Making the Bramble Fox Perspectives Shine

The Bramble Fox perspectives are definitely the stars of this page. The large “Girls Trip” perspective sits prominently on the left-hand side and immediately draws the eye into the layout.

I chose the “Great Friends” perspective for the opposite side, creating a visual balance between the two large statement pieces. Both perspectives add height and dimension to the page and work beautifully alongside the colourful Simple Stories papers.

I love using large Bramble Fox perspectives because they make such an impact. Rather than simply adding a small title, they become part of the overall design and help tell the story of the page.

5. Friendship, Flowers & Memories

This page is a reminder that a girls’ day out doesn't have to be about doing anything extraordinary. Sometimes it's simply about spending time together, enjoying beautiful surroundings, having a laugh and catching up with a great friend.

A visit to the RHS Badminton Flower Show gave us the perfect excuse for a day out, wandering around the stunning displays, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying each other's company.

Using the colourful Simple Stories Colour Me Happy collection, together with the Bramble Fox “Girls Trip”, “Great Friends” and the small fruit and drinks perspectives, has created a bright and joyful scrapbook page that captures the spirit of the day perfectly.
