Marbella Travel Scrapbook Layout - Wendy Meffan

In this travel 12 x 12 layout I always like to coordinate colours and embellishments to the photos I am scrapbooking. This gorgeous photo was taken in an outside restaurant in Marbella, it had beautiful walls covered in plants, so it was the perfect opportunity to use the Fox Cut stencil #49 (Brick wall) and the Luxury Chipboard which contains a sheet of wall patterned chipboard. not only do these work perfectly on the layout but also add texture and dimension.

I chose to use a coloured background as it really made the elements pop on the page. I trimmed 1cm off two sides and then gutted a 12x12 white piece of cardstock and adhered the purple paper to it to create a white border. Initially I used the Fox Cut #49 stencil with texture paste and stencilled behind where the photo would sit. I used a combination of papers from several different Hip Kit Club kits and fussy cut the large floral cluster from one of them which was the perfect colours to the photo. I then placed the November Fox Box Little Treat perspextive over it. I was excited to use my new Fox Die £16 which cuts the lower half of the Paper Snips sheets with perfect results and saves a lot of fussy cutting. I then used some of the labels and fussy cut one of the little birds from paper Snips #045. i also used an epoxy flair in the cluster on the layout.

Before sticking the photo down I punched two strips of paper using a lace border punch and then attached a larger piece of torn paper. I tucked a grey chipboard frame under at the side co ordinating with the perspextive colour. Then I used a piece from the Luxury Chipboard collection and tucked it under the photo. it gave the perfect background to the photo. I added a few more fussy cut pieces from Paper Snips #045 and the BBlessed perspextive from the November Fox Box.
