Celebrate | Antonia Sherlock
Hello Crafty Friends, Antonia here today with a new layout inspired by our January challenge! This month's challenge to include a handmade element inspired me to create a layout I have been meaning to do for a very long time, but somehow haven't gotten around to do it until now!

The photos I used were taken just before my daughter's confirmation, as we were entering the church. My daughter at the time had long hair, but she was increasingly unhappy with it, and I knew that this might be the last opportunity to have her beautiful long locks specially styled. So I bought some luxurious crepe paper rolls and made some paper flowers which our hairdresser pinned into our hair when we had our hair done for the occasion. I really wanted to include these flowers on the layout, because they do tell a special story.

I based the colour scheme of the layout on the flowers - white, peach and pink -, but I also wanted to include lilac, to match the colour of my dress on the photos. I chose the background paper carefully, to harmonise the peach and the lilac, as they can be tricky to use together.

For the layout itself, I stitched a large heart with gold yarn and created two floral clusters on opposite sides of the page.

I added my photos to the larger cluster, and the crape paper flowers to the smaller cluster. I added the "Celebrate" perspextive from the January Foxbox as the title, and scattered some peach and white acrylic hearts around the clusters. I completed the layout with gold ink splatters.

I hope you like my layout, and find inspiration in it... you can play along with our monthly challenge in our Facebook group - don't forget to add a handmade embellishment to the layout, as well as a Bramblefox product. Happy New Year and happy crafting!
