Cocktails & Catchups – A Lovely Day in London

There’s something rather special about spending a day in London with good friends, especially when the plan involves delicious food, cocktails and plenty of catching up! This layout captures one of those lovely days that was all about friendship, laughter and making memories together.

For my second September Bramble Fox Perspextives project, I chose the Cocktail & Catchups perspextive, which was the perfect match for our day out. I used four photos, staggered vertically down the page, to tell the story of our trip. I love the way the photographs lead your eye down the layout, creating a simple but effective design while giving each photo plenty of space to shine. I added the large persepxtive title to the side of the photos.

To complement the photographs, I used the gorgeous Simple Stories Pink Lemonade Collection. The soft, pretty colours worked beautifully with my photos and gave the whole page a fun and feminine feel. I also added some of the collection’s chipboard elements, which helped to add extra dimension and interest to the page.

I added a couple of background stamps too, creating subtle details behind the layers without overpowering the photographs or patterned papers. I love how stamping can add just a little extra texture and interest to a layout.

Of course, no cocktail-themed layout would be complete without a few extra embellishments!

I added several of the fabulous Bramble Fox Mini Perspextives, including cocktail glasses, a champagne bottle and champagne glasses. These little details were the perfect finishing touches and really brought the theme to life.

I particularly love how all the different layers, textures and embellishments work together to give the page plenty of dimension.

This was such a lovely day spent with friends, and I think this layout captures the relaxed, happy feeling perfectly. Good food, great cocktails and even better company — the perfect ingredients for a day in London and a memory worth scrapping! 🍸🥂💕
