Creating Christmas Baubles With One Simple Shape

When it comes to creating Christmas baubles a simple circle is just the thing, I cut mine to around 4 inches in diameter, then with a little rectangle of the same patterned paper I added the little string attachment to the top of my baubles. I added my photo to one bauble (3 & 3/4 inch), my 'Jolly Good' title to another & a cluster of embellishments to the third.

I also added 2 more baubles, one acrylic & the other made from drawing around the acrylic one & cutting from patterned paper. Adding the smaller sized baubles created depth to my page, I also added 2 rather 1 as to keep the numbers odd encourage the eye around my page.

Next I wanted to make the baubles look like they were hanging rather than floating in air. To do this I used a running stitch in gold thread, using 2 strands for the smaller ones & 4 strands the larger 3.

To finish I added gold pearls to the top of each stitched line & clusters of foliage for more interest to my baubles. Are you creating a festive layout? Why not make yourself some Christmas baubles.

Until next time, much love,

Em xxx
