Large titles are always a favourite of mine, and the Extra Large Summer Perspextive Title was the perfect starting point for this layout. I love the bold impact these oversized titles bring to a page—they instantly create a strong focal point and make the design come together effortlessly.
I began with a sheet of white cardstock and added a touch of mixed media to create some subtle texture and interest. Using inks through Stencil #141 and Stencil #101, I added stencilled detail to the top right and bottom left corners. This helps frame the layout without overpowering the photos.

Next, I tore a piece of patterned paper and adhered it across the centre of the page. I curled the torn edges on both sides to add dimension and create little pockets where I could tuck in pieces of ephemera. I also slipped an extra photo beneath the torn edge on the bottom left, which adds another layer of interest while making use of an additional favourite photo.

Because the Summer Perspextive title has open spaces and was being placed over patterned paper, I decided to back it. Rather than using plain cardstock, I backed the letters with leftover photos that didn't make it onto the main design. This allowed tiny glimpses of the adorable beach huts to peek through the letters, adding a fun and unique detail that ties everything together.

Finally, I positioned my main photo to the left of the title and clustered embellishments around it using coordinating ephemera. The fabulous Beach Hut Perspextives were the perfect finishing touch and complemented my seaside photos beautifully. I love how the layers, textures, and bold title work together to capture the fun, relaxed feeling of a summer day at the beach while showcasing some of my favourite holiday memories.

Thanks for joining me today.
Until next time,
