Hi, Bramble Fox Fans! I'm sharing a layout using several pieces from the stunning new Sea Life Collection, as well as a title piece from this month's Fox Box.

Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so products look a bit larger on my layouts.

I am so in love with the sea critters in the Sea Life collection, and I wanted to create an underwater scene using them. I started out by spreading clear gesso on my background paper and watering down some distress ink and applying it to the background using the packaging technique. I started building up my scene by arranging the Sea Friends Perspextives and a bunch of the images I fussy-cut from the Paper Snips 002. I tore a strip of patterned paper from my stash to make the sea floor and planted the seaweed and seashell Paper Snips. I supplemented that with some metal dies from my stash.

I found the perfect free octopus cut file from Paper Issues and used paper to match the whale and octopus Perspextives so that it would form a visual triangle and draw the eye to those cute critters. And of course googly eyes gave my page a perfect touch of whimsy. I placed some fish from the Paper Snips swimming about.

I hadn't glued anything down yet, but once I had decided on the placement, I added some stamped bubbles and some fish stamps from my stash. to create another layer of dimension. How adorable is that waving octopus! The Paper Snips 002 has lots of phrases, so I cut some of those out to add to my page. The tab above the photo is from Paper Snips 001, and the color coordinated perfectly.

And of course I had to add a heart, from the Warm Hearts pack. I add at least one heart to each of the pages I give away. My friends tell me their kids love to look for the heart(s) on the page. Once I had everything stamped and glued down, I splattered some watered-down white gesso to look like bubbles and sea spray. The final touch was to add water drops in the form of clear Nuvo Gloss Drops.

I hope I gave you some ideas on how to use these awesome products. This Sea Life collection is just so fun to work with and so, so beautiful!
