February Challenge | You Hold The Key To My Heart | Joanne Bartell

The theme of this challenge matches perfectly with Valentine's Day! Don't you just love red, pink, and white together! I used this challenge as an opportunity to scrap this photo of me and my Valentine!

I used the Simple Stories “My Valentine” collection along with 23 (yes that’s right 23!!!) perspextives. I used the Love This Moment as my title, pink and red hearts, flowers, a key, a padlock, an envelope, a frame, and 2 butterfly perspextives.

I used the Paige Evan’s “wedge” cut file and backed it with acetate in the center and every other wedge. Then I popped the cut file up on foam to allow space for the red and pink sequin mix. I placed perspextives under the wedges backed with acetate and adhered them to the paper so they would not move. I placed my cut file on top of the patterned paper and sequins (Hip Kit Club). My photo is backed with four layers of paper. I created clusters around my photo by using stickers and perspextives.

The finishing touch was adding pink splatters using Altenew ink spray in Frosty Pink. I love how this layout came together. I have always loved the colors of Valentine’s Day, and I am excited to use 23 perspextives on my layout!!!
