Layout using the Happy Camper Perspextive.

I just love creating a travel layout, and this one came together so naturally thanks to these beautiful photos and the amazing perspextive pieces. They gave me the perfect excuse to document my daughter’s unforgettable adventure travelling around New Zealand in a camper van—such a special story to capture and relive.

To begin my 12x12 layout, I selected three different patterned papers and tore into them to create soft, organic edges. Layering them together added depth and a relaxed, slightly rugged feel that perfectly reflects life on the road. This forms the foundation of the page and really helps set the tone for the travel theme.

For the background, I used a globe stencil to bring in a sense of wanderlust. I applied both ink and texture paste in different areas, which adds subtle dimension and visual interest without overwhelming the design. I love how this detail ties everything back to the idea of exploration and global adventure.

Along the bottom section, I added a large rub-on as an anchor for the page, then built up layers with a chipboard globe, frame, banner, and a selection of die cuts. These elements help ground the layout and create a cohesive base.

My three photos are clustered in the top left corner, drawing the eye straight to the heart of the story. Around them, I tucked in ephemera and those fabulous perspextive pieces, which add both dimension and narrative. Together, they help tell the story of an incredible journey filled with freedom, discovery, and memories that will last a lifetime.

This layout truly captures the spirit of adventure—and I loved every moment of creating it.
