Let the journey begin, a fun, boy layout using the August Fox Box.

The beginning of the month means a new Fox Box & the August one is all about fun summer stories to tell. My story is actually a Christmas one & the awesome gift of a dumper truck but that just goes to show how versitile the boxs can be!!!

This started using a 8.5x10.5 piece of white cardstock that I added mixed media onto. I first brayered some watered down Salvaged Patina Oxide ink, I then stencilled over that using #113 Distressed Grids & then went over that with texture paste through #106 Punchinella.

I backed the white cardstock with some yellow patterned paper, added to a distressed blue patterned paper & handstitched down the lefthand edge.

I tore a piece of striped paper, to use as a 'shelf' to sit my photo cluster on & added it across the middle. I backed my photo & added on the left of the page & built up my cluster going towards the right using tickets, ephemera, fussy cut quote & a fabric patch.

My title sat on the striped paper & I carried the embellishments down to draw the eye to the bottom of the page.

At the top right I added another small cluster using tickets, ephemera & some of the Bright Stars.

This was a real fun layout to make & looking forward to see how you all use your August Fox Box.
