Messy and fun black & white page with Anna Komenda

Hello crafty Friends!

It's Anna Komenda here with my newest page. It's one of those layouts that you make just for fun or to try new techniques or goodies. Not necessarily to document an important moment in your life. This time my mojo clicked when I saw MOMENTS PERSPEXTIVE word from Golden Moments Set. I had this idea to try to make everything black and white - a bit unusual approach for such a color lover like me.

Next idea that popped to my head was adding a little bit of mess with black mist and a stencil. My collection of Bramble Fox stencils is still limited but luckily I had just a perfect one - WAVY FILMSTRIP. I knew it wouldn't be easy to do ink blending with it as it's quite intricate, but for spraying with mist it was just perfect. I wasn't careful with protecting the rest of the paper background as my goal was to achieve graffiti like look.

Next step was going through my pattern papers and choosing all the black and white patterns to cut little strips of them. From one of them I cut out cute houses to decorate the page too.

Rest of the embellishments is an eclectic mix of whatever fitted the B&W cryteria. I also dug out PAPER SNIPS 055 Vintage Sentiments and cut the top layer into the word strips. I used them to create the frame around my page.

Final step was adding the title containing of acrylic word MOMENTS and spelled with alpha stickers word PRECIOUS. Final result is so funky and fun and what's most important - I had such a great fun making this layout.
