Summer Adventures | Debbi Tehrani

Hey, Foxy Friends! Did you hear Bramble Fox now has a monthly challenge? Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE challenges, so I decided to give this month's tic-tac-toe challenge a whirl. Here's what I created. (Please note that I scrap 8 x 8, so the products always look larger on my pages).

s a reminder, here is a picture of the tic-tac-toe board for this challenge. I used all 9 squares because, like I said, I just love a challenge!

When I saw the center of the tic-tac-toe board said circles, I immediately thought of a sun and created my own by scribbling a large circle in the center of my page with a yellow Faber-Castell Gelato and blending it with a paint brush and water. After it dried, I machine stitched in a circle to meet the top-middle square of the board. The white border is a super-old Paper Frills by Doodlebug.

How fabulous is that title from the Summer Adventures pack, which includes a second title that says "Getaway." And I just had to use that fun scuba mask from the Pool Party pack which comes with a whole bunch of adorable pieces.

I was a little stumped about how to use ribbon and then I saw Julie Taylor had made tabs, so thank you, Julie, for that brilliant idea! Stapling them on met the requirement for the metal in the bottom right square.

For the mixed media square, I added some blue Tim Holtz Distress ink with water to the background to echo the water in the photos and fussy cut (another square from the tic-tac-toe) some tropical flowers from a paper from Simple Stories' Hello Summer collection.

The flip-flops are also from the Pool Party pack. I just love their translucence and the frosted detail in the etching. And of course I had to add some water droplets using Nuvo Drops and circles from the Holy Moly pack. Raise your hand if you're hoping Bramble Fox will make these Holy Molys in other colors!

And of course the flamingo floaty, also from the Pool Party pack, was perfect for these photos and met the animals or birds square.

Finally, I used the beach ball as another circle, also from the Pool Party Pack. Isn't the detailing on that ball gorgeous? I tell you, you must get that Pool Party pack. There are two of each of these fun elements, for a total of 8 Perspextives, enough for several summer layouts. I finished off my layout with some stamping (first box of the tic-tac-toe) and some word stickers.

I hope you'll come play along with this challenge--you don't have to use the squares--just get three in a row, and you could win £15. I hope I gave you some fun ideas for this challenge and for using some of the gorgeous new summer products. Please don't forget to tag us on Instagram--#bramblefox and also share your creations with us in the Bramble Fox Friends Facebook group. Until next month...
