Summer Stories Scrapbook layout - Wendy Meffan

Summer Stories was the perfect title for documenting one of the most unforgettable days of my life — visiting the breathtaking island of Santorini, a destination that had been sitting proudly on my bucket list for years. From the sparkling blue sea to the iconic whitewashed buildings, every moment felt like stepping into a postcard, and I knew I wanted this layout to capture all the beauty and joy of the experience.

For this page, I used the gorgeous July Fox Box collection and built my design around the stunning “Summer Stories” perspextives title. I then tucked the fussy cut Sunglasses from the #095 Paper Snips behind the title.

To make the layout feel even more personal, I created a large custom “Santorini” title using the 49 and Market Sizzix This or That alphabet die set. I carefully copied the colours from the Summer Stories perspextive so the custom title blended perfectly with the collection and became a real focal point on the page.

I arranged four strips of small photos diagonally across the layout above and below the Santorini title, to help tell the story of the day while creating movement and flow across the page. The diagonal design also gave me plenty of space to layer embellishments throughout the layout. I decorated the photo strips with the beautiful Summer flower perspextives along with the adorable ice cream perspextives from the July Fox Box, which added such a fun and playful summer feel.

To complete the page, I added a selection of fussy-cut elements from Paper Snips 95, 93 and 90. These extra details helped bring texture, colour and dimension to the layout while perfectly complementing the Santorini colour palette. I love how this page combines soft summer tones, layered embellishments and treasured memories from a dream destination I will never forget.

I love how this layout came together, with the crisp blue and white tones perfectly capturing the beauty and atmosphere of Santorini.
