Sunshine and Blue Skies | Antonia Sherlock

Hello Friends!

It’s Antonia here today, sharing my layout inspired by the September mood board challenge! Just to remind you, here is this month’s challenge:

I planned to go with the colour scheme (I loved that rich yellow!), but when I came across this photo, I decided to go with the theme instead. Although the photo was taken in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, my kids felt like they were on a tropical island on that beautiful sunny day on the beach!

As the photo takes up most of the layout, I was limited with the placement of the embellishment clusters. This didn’t stop me from throwing everything I had from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Coastal collection at it, though…!

I used one of the perspextives from the July Fox Box for the title - I placed it at the top of the photo, as I wanted it to stand out. I matted the photo on yellow cardstock, just to amalgamate the colour yellow into the layout.

I also added pieces from the Flock of Seagulls perspextives to the embellishment clusters – they were a perfect finishing touch! The white of the seagulls went so well with the layout, yet it stood out… how is that even possible?!
