This page truly captures the feeling of our whale watching adventure — it was definitely a vibe, so the title couldn’t have been more perfect. I used the Today’s Vibe perspective straight out of the store to document our unforgettable trip whale watching in Monterey Bay, California, and I wanted the design to feel relaxed, layered, and full of movement, just like the ocean itself.

I started by cutting a 10” half circle using my circle templates. Once it was cut, I distressed the edges to give it a little softness and texture, then added it over patterned paper on the left side of the page. To anchor the shape, I machine stitched around the edge, which added both interest and texture. Along the centre line of the half circle, I built a vertical cluster using strips of patterned paper, trim, and embellishments. I tucked in a couple of tickets and tabs to add layers and tell more of the story.

On the right-hand side, I added three photos from the day: one larger landscape photo on top and two smaller portrait photos below. I matted each photo on coordinating patterned papers and embellished them with tabs, stickers, labels, and chipboard pieces that really brought the whale watching theme to life.

The title was placed toward the bottom of the half circle, keeping it visible without overpowering the photos. I also included a couple of actual tickets from the event, and luckily they matched the colour palette perfectly. Adding them into the main cluster was the perfect finishing touch, tying the memories and design together beautifully.
