I’m excited to share a frosty-fun layout created almost entirely with the December Fox Box Plus. Since I scrapbook in the 8×8 format, everything feels wonderfully bold and cozy on the page—Perspextives become little showstoppers, and the Paper Snips pack an extra punch. This month’s box was filled to the brim with winter charm, and I couldn’t wait to bring all those chilly blues, wintry greens, cheerful reds, and shimmering textures together for a magical “Freezin’ Season” layout.

Navy, Hearts & Sparkle: Building the Base
The navy “Freezin’ Season” Perspextive makes such a bold, beautiful title piece for grounding the page. I paired it with the cheerful red hearts—my signature touch I always add when I'm gifting a layout. The magical snowflake stencil from the Fox Box Plus adds that frosty, shimmering background. I tinted texture paste with white acrylic paint, applied it to pink cardstock through the stencil, and then dusted it with Stickles for a snowy sparkle that glistens in the light. The photographs don’t quite capture how twinkly the glitter looks in real life—sparkle is notoriously tricky to photograph—but it adds such a magical frosted glow to the page.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: For a soft, icy shimmer, sprinkle glitter or Stickles onto your stenciled texture paste before it fully dries. The paste grabs the sparkle beautifully and creates a dimensional, frosted effect without overwhelming the design.

Tied Together: Charming Tags & Twine Details
This sweet vintage snowman tag stole my heart, so I dressed it up with a silver eyelet for shine and laced it with rustic twine. I added an eyelet to the photo as well for continuity. Don’t miss the adorable pink skis from the Paper Snips! I also tucked in the little green pine-branch Perspextive, which adds the perfect touch of winter greenery. The intricate detail gives the piece such lovely texture.
I hand-cut the blue snowy paper (which has lived in my stash forever!) into a curvy shape and arranged my elements along the wave. Because my page is 8×8, the curve doesn’t show dramatically—but it still guides the eye softly across the layout.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Curved lines are a great way to create movement, even in a small canvas where the full sweep isn’t visible.

All the Bows, Beauty & Paper Snips
One of my favorite details on this page is the gorgeous plaid bow paired with the blue heart from the Cool Hearts pack. Its deep navy tone echoes the “Freezin’ Season” title perfectly and helps pull that bold color across the layout. Every hand-cut embellishment on this page comes from the December Paper Snips, and they worked beautifully for layering. I also sprinkled the word strips throughout the design; they not only add charming storytelling moments but also help the viewer’s eye travel naturally from cluster to cluster.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Scatter small word strips in a gentle visual path—top left to bottom right, or around your main clusters—to guide the eye through the layout and enhance the story without overwhelming the design.

Mittens with Personality
The red mitten Perspextives are such standout pieces! I love the etched detail—it adds instant texture and dimension without any extra effort. I positioned it across from the title cluster to echo the red hearts and create a visual triangle with the other red elements, helping the whole page feel balanced.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Bold-colored Perspextives with engraved details are standouts—use them as focal points near a photo to draw the viewer in.

A Sweet Winter Bird & a Little Texture Trick
I adore the little bird perched on the snowy branch. To give the jar embellishment more character, I tied twine around the mouth of the jar—just that tiny detail added warmth and a more natural feel and echoed the twine used on the tag. These little dimensional touches really help flat elements come to life.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Try adding simple tactile items—twine, thread nests, mini clothespins—to breathe life into flat die-cuts.

Icy Skates, Sparkle, and Final Touches
The beautiful ice skates from the Paper Snips bring a gentle hint of winter magic and felt like just the right touch to complete this wintry layout. I always let my pages sit overnight before finishing them—this time, I decided to add red pearls to draw attention to the plaid bows and red Perspextives. A sprinkle of Jolee’s snowflakes (also oldies from my stash) added just the right amount of extra sparkle for a frosty finish.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: If a cluster feels like it needs “one more thing,” try adding tiny bits in threes—three pearls, three enamel dots, three sequins. It’s subtle magic.

Until Next Time...
Thanks for stopping by to share in my frosty fun! I hope my layout gives you a sprinkle of inspiration to create your own snowy magic from the December Fox Box Plus. Until next time, stay cozy, stay crafty, and let your creativity sparkle!
