Just Us Scrapbook Layout - Wendy Meffan

For this page, I featured the gorgeous “Just Us” turquoise perspextive from the October products as my title piece to document our Wedding Anniversary meal. Its bold colour was such a perfect match for the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Lemon Twist collection, which offered just the right mix of sunshine yellows, soft aquas, and vintage neutrals to complement it beautifully.

I began the design by tearing patterned papers diagonally from the collection and placing them across the top and bottom of the layout. The torn edges created lovely texture and a natural frame for the central design. Between these torn borders, I added a large photo mat, giving me space to showcase multiple photos.

The star, of course, is the “Just Us” perspextive title, placed at the bottom of the photo. Its turquoise hue pops against the warm yellow tones, perfectly highlighting the sentiment of a shared, treasured moment.

Around the photo cluster, I embellished with ephemera from the collection—tickets, florals, and vintage-style accents that echoed the cheerful yet timeless feel of Lemon Twist.

To bring in texture and a little sparkle, I scattered sequins across the page and anchored them with small hand-sewn French knots. This added such a personal touch, with a subtle shimmer that catches the light without overwhelming the design.

To finish the page, I placed a few decorative brads in key spots along with a small heart perspextive, adding dimension and shine while tying everything together. The combination of flat paper elements with raised embellishments gives the page lovely depth and balance.

This layout blends vintage charm with playful details, and every layer—from torn paper edges to hand-sewn sparkle—helps tell the story of a joyful memory, captured simply as “Just Us.”
