Sunshine, splashes, and layered summer details come together in this bright and playful scrapbook layout featuring Bramble Fox Perspextives, Paper Snips, and stenciling for happy poolside vibes. Drawing inspiration from the delightful June Fox Box Plus, I combined a super‑fun title, puffy clouds, and colorful Paper Snips to capture the carefree spirit of summer. The gorgeous Bramble Fox goodies paired beautifully with the Echo Park Pool Party collection, whose salmon pinks and fresh teals make the Perspextives pop and create a radiant, sun‑soaked feel.
I also used a large pie-chart style cut file from Paper Issues as the base for the layout, which gave me lots of fun sections to mix patterns and textures. Since I scrapbook in an 8x8 format, products naturally appear a little larger and more impactful on my pages, which I absolutely love for creating bold focal points and dimension.

Making the Title Shine
The title is definitely one of my favorite parts of this layout! How sweet is the etched face on that sun? The oversized “Sunny Days” title became the perfect focal point, and I loved how the adorable sun is actually a part of the title design. The sunny yellow really pops against the softer salmon pink and teal tones from the Echo Park papers.
I also layered embellishments around the title to help anchor it into the design rather than letting it float on the page. Little touches like the tiny labels and dimensional accents help the entire cluster feel connected and cohesive.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: When using a large title, try repeating its colors elsewhere on the page in smaller accents to help visually balance the design.

Building Playful Clusters
I created several embellishment clusters around the page to keep the eye moving throughout the design. I tucked lots of the colorful Paper Snips from the Fox Box Plus into the clusters for extra detail and layers, which added so much playful personality to the layout. The phrase strips are from Vintage Sentiments Paper Snips 055, a must-have sheet with over 100 generic words and phrases for any theme.
The stitching around the cut file sections added another layer of texture and softness while helping define each patterned paper area. I love how stitching gives layouts that little extra handmade touch that makes everything feel finished and intentional.
I also repeated small pops of black throughout the embellishments to help ground all the softer pastel colors and add contrast.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Repeating small elements — like black accents, labels, or enamel dots — helps create cohesion across a busy layout.

Soft Clouds & Sweet Details
One of my favorite details on this page is the collection of cloud clusters floating around the layout. I used both the cloud stencil and the cloud Perspextives from the kit to create soft layers and dimension.
For the clouds, I used Speckled Egg Distress Oxides on textured cardstock, then carefully fussy cut them before layering the Perspextives on top. The combination of soft ink blending with the acrylic cloud pieces creates so much depth and interest.
I always love adding hearts to layouts I give away, and this time the clouds and Paper Snips helped do that work for me beautifully. Those tiny hidden hearts feel like little surprises tucked throughout the page.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Layering Perspextives over inked or textured backgrounds is a great way to add dimension and make embellishment clusters feel more dynamic and detailed.

Layering Around the Photo
Here’s another cluster, tucked beside the photo. Once again, I used Paper Snips to add extra layers and little details that make the cluster feel full and dimensional without becoming bulky. I also tucked in a yellow arrow from the Arrows Galore pack, which is such a fun embellishment set to have on hand. With a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, these arrows are perfect for adding a little touch of surprise while subtly pointing attention toward important parts of a layout.
Combining banners, labels, tiny icons, and enamel dots together creates lots of visual interest in a very small area. The additional cloud cluster near the bottom also helps continue the soft, dreamy summer feeling throughout the page.
The combination of structured layers with whimsical cloud shapes keeps the layout playful while still feeling balanced.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Try combining straight-edged embellishments like banners and labels with softer organic shapes like clouds or florals for extra visual contrast.

Finishing Touches & Visual Balance
A third cloud cluster floats above the photo to complete the visual triangle across the page. Repeating embellishments in three areas is one of my favorite ways to create balance and movement on a scrapbook layout.
One of my favorite scrapbook tips is to let layouts sit overnight before deciding they’re finished. Looking at a page again with fresh eyes often helps me spot little areas that need tweaking or extra balance.
The next day, I realized the upper left corner needed some pink, so I added the small pink photo corner cut from the same patterned paper used in the pie-chart design. It was a tiny addition, but it added just the right amount of balance and created another subtle visual triangle on the page.
💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: Before calling a layout complete, set it aside overnight if you can. Fresh eyes often reveal small finishing touches that make a big difference.

This bright summer scrapbook layout was such a fun way to document these happy poolside memories while playing with layers, texture, and dimension. I loved combining the playful Echo Park Pool Party collection with the amazing Bramble Fox Perspextives, Paper Snips, stencil work, and acrylic details to create a page full of sunshine and movement.
