The Good Life: A Festive Christmas Scrapbook Layout | Debbi Tehrani

Nothing says Christmas like a page full of sparkle, festive embellishments, and cherished memories. On this cheerful layout, I used the beautiful teal The Good Life title from the Memory Maker pack, which includes three versatile titles that work beautifully for any theme. I paired it with a gift from the Presents & Candy Canes pack, some sweet heart Perspextives, Vintage Sentiments Paper Snips, and the fabulous stencil from the December Fox Box Plus.

Because I work in the 8x8 format, you’ll notice that products look a bit larger on my pages, which lets the Bramble Fox accents really shine!

Setting the Scene: Adding Holiday Magic

The Good Life title is such a standout piece, combining a playful script font with a smaller, bold companion font for the word the. I love how these two styles work together to create a bold elegance. To make it feel even more festive, I dangled a fussy-cut ornament from the letter “l” by cutting a slit in the cord and gluing it in place. It adds just the right touch of whimsy and detail. I started my layout by creating a background that adds a touch of magic with the stencil that comes in the December Fox Box Plus. I applied white texture paste through the stencil and then added sparkle with some glittery Stickles for a subtle shimmer. The soft, frosty look pairs beautifully with the Christmas Charm collection from P13 Paper Products, setting the perfect wintry tone.

💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: When using texture paste with stencils, apply it unevenly in some areas—this adds dimension and a more natural, snow-like feel once it’s dry.

A Nutcracker’s Heart

I tucked a lovely present Perspextive into my bottom right cluster, and because I always add a heart when I make a layout to give away, I attached one from the Monochrome Hearts pack to the gift. I also layered a translucent teal heart from the Cool Hearts pack over the fussy-cut nutcracker—I love how the acrylic hearts catch the light and add beautiful dimension. These little details bring warmth and personality to the page while helping tie all the elements together. To add a touch of wintery texture, I tucked some white punched sprigs around the clusters. These delicate bits soften the hard edges of the embellishments and help everything blend beautifully together. I love how those little white touches mimic frosted greenery and echo the snowy feel of the stenciled background.

Most of the embellishments on this page were fussy-cut from patterned paper, which gave me endless options for layering and storytelling without needing extra supplies.

💡Debbi’s Design Tip: Don’t underestimate the power of fussy cutting! You can build entire scenes by layering cut-out images from patterned paper, which not only adds storytelling depth but also helps stretch your supplies and save on embellishments.

Sparkle, Shine, and Balanced Design

To give my Christmas tree a festive glow, I added shiny gold metallic pearls to mimic baubles, and I topped a fussy-cut star with a rhinestone for extra sparkle. I chose the woodgrain paper because it echoes the cozy wood paneling on the walls in the photo, helping the layout feel connected to the story behind the picture. At first, I planned to use the woodgrain as one solid background, but I decided to cut it into two panels and add a second punched border—this small change created a more balanced and elegant look while enhancing the rustic warmth of the page.

💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: When a background feels heavy or too plain, try breaking it up with panels, borders, or stitching. Dividing a large area can add movement and sophistication without cluttering your design.

A Hint of Movement

The word strips are from the Vintage Sentiments Paper Snips, a must-have sheet bursting with over 100 versatile phrases for every project. A fussy-cut frame tucked behind the photo adds subtle depth, its slight tilt bringing gentle movement and a hint of playful charm that echoes the festive accents.

💡 Debbi’s Design Tip: If your layout starts to feel too structured, tilt one or two layers slightly. A small angle can make the whole design feel more dynamic and natural.

Wrapping It Up

This layout is a little reminder that the best moments are the simple ones—warm memories, time with loved ones, and creative touches that make them last.

Be sure to explore all the new holiday products in the shop—I can’t wait to see the magical pages you create with them!

Until next time, may your days be sparkly, your cocoa be sweet, and your layouts be merry and bright!
